I have a young family and want to get into the whole fishing thing. Went out yesterday to freo south mole but kids kept getting snagged on the rocks and wife a little worried about the kids climbing on the rocks and falling in.

Right by the pub, [Pinky tailor bream] But only small ones] Cast under the boats or close

Try
Try under canning bridge, it's in the shade so the youngings wont get burnt, if no luck there, move downstream a bit to como jetty, lots of whiting, bream and herring around there
Everydays a good day for fishing

Take a day trip down to
Take a day trip down to Busselton and have a fish off the jetty and a picnic on the beach, your clan will love you for it.
Cheers
