which is the most comfortable lifejacket/yoke?

G'day all, I'm looking at either getting a hobie i-yoke or stormy vest style lifejacket  (or similar) to wear fulltime in the boat.  Apart from the legal requirements of having a better lifejacket on board the boat as well as the yoke lifejacket I was wondering which is the most comfortable for full-time wearing in the boat or on the cliffs?  Info on other types or brands is welcome.  Some yokes appear to have fleece or wetsuit material on the neck for added comfort. Cheers

yeh, I think the auto inflate would be worthwhile in case you hit your head on the way into the water.

I just typed yoke into the search engine here and it has come up with a heap of info.

After the last

After the last boating tragedy I don't really want to take any chances. Especially with my boys on board.

looks like

looks like I'll get the stormy life vest premium 180N.  It's got a removable fleece neck, mesh back, light weight plastic clips, manual and auto in the one unit, and has a blanking cap.  $185 plus postage, unless someone stocks them in perth.

 its interesting that after

Sun, 2012-09-02 09:34

its interesting that after the latest boatingt tragedy I too am thinking down this line.  Although I've had nothing happen to me out in a boat, with many years experience, its probably for the kids sake and family that makes me think it might be worth it.

I'd be interested in any feedback from fellas that wear them now, especially in the north west where we do a lot of our fishing, when the temps are up.

Glad you tried the search option.

Glad you tried the search option, one gets a bit tired posting the same answers to the same questions wondering if the posts even get read. I can tell you that when things go wrong, it all happens very fast. Also I used to take an old fella fishing afer he got banned from taking his boat out again, when he was going out by himself, he fell in and luckerly he had his inflatable on. A passing boat found him drifting around in the sound. The other thing to remember is that if you have std  life jackets on board and they are your primary jackets, and you are wearing inflatables that havn't been tested or inspected for a few years. If an incident occurs where you find yourself in the water, which life jackets are now your primaries?
