While I've still got my Tourism SA hat on.....
I started flicking through a few old photos from when I lived in SA so I thought I’d chuck a few up while I’ve still got my Tourism SA hat on.
Couple of nice KG’s
For those who don’t dive- greenlip abalone and seal
Nice 25lb snapper 2km from the ramp
Bit of a freshwater mix up- brown trout and Murray cod on cast lure
Southern Bluefin Tuna school rippling, and the final product on cast plastic
30kg plus SBT from another day
Yalata Mulloway
A productive day’s bottom bouncing
Big southern rock lobster-excuse the double chin
Bight Redfish and Harlequin
Great White shark that hung around for over an hour chasing our snapper
Blue Groper
Salmon from the Cactus Beach cliffs
Finally a big sambo. Not a big deal in WA but the first big one we got in SA after quite a bit of trying. This was kept and tasted quite good.

Colin there are a few main areas:
Adelaide Hills/ Fleurieu Peninsula creeks
Mid North rivers
Some on Kangaroo Island
That's the spots I know of. It actually has a relatively healthy trout/freshwater fishery.

Magic set of Pics
well done, the Kg's are a prize. I have spent some time in the south fishing over the past few years, Port Mac, Carpenters etc (shore bound) for Kg's, have never caught them that size though. My next plan is to fish streaky and other waterways on the Eyre Pen. Thanks for sharing.

yeah mate, forget the South
yeah mate, forget the South East, head west for the best fishing. All these were caught on western Eyre Peninsula except for the freshwater fish.

Thanks Lucky
There are some great little towns on the peninsular, looking forward to getting of there. I spend time at Port Mac and others because I have family in Mount Gam & Millicent. Thanks again

Great pics Tim, Good to see
Great pics Tim,
Good to see some other SA pics on the site.
Having fishing withdrawals at the moment and can't wait till April and two weeks fishing around Port Lincoln with the odd possible trip to Coffin Bay if the winds are up. Also planning a later trip to head out west of Ceduna and do all the old haunts such as Cactus Beach, Fowlers Bay, Scotts beach, Mexican hat etc.
Have a few pics myself of big salmon from that same cliff overlooking Cactus. Nice drop off into deep water after the shelf at the bottom. Was hard hauling them to the top of the cliff hand over hand style as we didn't have a cliff gaff at the time.
Cheers Paul

mostly used squid tenticles,
mostly used squid tenticles, they love them and they stay on the hook really well, far better than what pippi's or razorfish do. Mainly use lures now though.
