Ours sounds boring
compared to the above and Alfred's spread.... We went traditional aussie style this year. Breakfast was sausages, bacon, eggs, hash browns, toast etc.. While eating brekkie the pork roast was put in the webber and when done was eaten with a freshly made garden salad and bits n pieces like pickled onions, olives etc. Dinner was left over brekkie and lunch
All washed down with a few cold brews and just about to crack the new bottle of Glenfidich as a night cap
Cheers,

Too busy fishing to eat...
Had a great brekky at the son's house with a bunch of friends and family. The usual bacon, hash browns, eggs, mushrooms avocado, croissants and a fruit platter. Yummo - bellies full - then hit the water with 4 passengers around 12:00. The forecast got it so wrong! Was expecting to be blown back in by 2:30, but it just got calmer and calmer.
Headed out to FFB - scored 4739 wrasse - then picked up a feed of whiting. Didn't matter about the fish - it was just fabulous to be out there on the water keeping cool! Returned at 6pm.
We kind of skipped lunch - just a light salad for dinner finished off a truly top day!
AND I scored a terrific new fillet knife from the boy - (after all, he DID break my old one!) now I need to haul in some good fish to try it out on!
Best wishes to all of you for the festive season - and may 2011 be a ripper year for you!
Cheers, Judy
Save the Whales! May as well - they won't fit in my catch bag!!!

We had
roast pork, glazed ham, rolled roasted turkey breast, king prawns, crayfish and chicken, 5 different salads, then trifle and steamed pudding with brandy custard, jelly and ice cream, then straight into the pool to cool down. Got in the new prado to come home and the temp for outside in Huntingdale was 41c then drove home to Spearwood and ten degrees less 31c. Thank good ness we live on the coast. The ferret at daughters had his big bottle of frozen water to lay on, so Stewie was happen then in the pool with us all to cool off. Dogs enjoyed the scapes from Xmas lunch.
Marky...........love your oil rig Xmas lunch yummo
Hope everybody thoroughly enjoyed their Xmas lunch with family and friends, we were totally stuffed and in bed by 9.00pm.

A multiple family cooking effort at our new place in beckenham. About 20 people, started out with mums prawn cocktails, crays with a garlic whitewine and cheese sauce, blue manna crabs, squid. Then rolled into a webber 5.6 kg turkey, two rolled pork roasts in my new bbq with rangehood and rotisserie (thanks mum and dad!), huge glazed ham, 3.5 kgs of barra and threadfin salmon from janes cousin from darwin(thanks simon!), roasted butternut pumpkins with garlic, fetta and walnuts, roast potatoe, cauliflower cheese. Dessert was christmas pudding with brandy custard made by janes mum, a pavlova and a caramel tart.
