I am running a FCV295 and
I am running a FCV295 and using a 1kw transducer, The biggest issue with the 3kw transducers is their pure bulky size and getting the wet box to work properly. Some get it right first time other battle for months.
I prefer a full wet-face on my transducers, so I'm running a commercial CA_50_200_1T transducer on a stern mounted bracket.
My reasoning is a clear signal with a 1kw well tuned to the sounder is better than a poor signal strength on a 3kw baldy installed unit.
(just my opinion on it)

ps this is a bloody big sounder and needs a fairly big area in your dash for it. Make sure you can fit it in..

Coming alone nicely now.
Need to test and fine tune the sounder & tranny this weekend or next, then will be ready for the winter months and April salmon run this year.
