windows fogging up

Hi all quick question to see how other guys deal with this, sorry if its been discussed before. My boat windows can get pritty foged up time to time with spray.  Ive got a hard top and fair amount of windows going on so viability can be an issue, before I look at wipers or or  changing the windscreen arangement has anyone had any luck with rain X or similar cheers in advance

Give them a dose of Rainex, can buy it from most ships chandlers or marine suppliers.

It's what all the pros use and usually lasts about a month

I find rainex works really well when you are getting a fair bit of water on the screen I still use the wipers though when its just the odd bit of spray stops the salt drying in line of sight. Surprisingly the wipers work pretty well.

Fog up ? Inside or out?

If its that stuff that just forms up a bit like fog on the outside on cool mornings, Rainex won't help. I'm a fan of Rainex, used it all the time on the crayboat, still use it on the runabout, but it won't stop that phenomenon I think you are referring to. If we were in the pens before we left, we'd hose the windows. If on a mooring somewhere, deck hose or squeegee. On bad mornings, it will reform.

A wiper will take it off the area of the wiper, of course. One of the disdavantages of a hardtop, unfortunately.
