Get a good quality supple
Get a good quality supple wire, it may cost a little bit more but nothing about lbg is cheap. Mono you will just lose too many rigs. You can sill land sharks on mono but you will still lose more. Afw 49 strand is a really good wire, or if you prefer nylon coated go the shogun 49 strand.

Personally I only use 200lb+
Personally I only use 200lb+ coated wire, the length depends on the depth of the water and I normally have a few meters of 80lb wind on leader so if the shark wraps its self in the line or tail whips you won't get busted of straight away.
