im wiring my new brake actuator and controler and i have wired the blue/ controler to the number 5 pin in the trailer plug as per the wiring diagram from the red ark contoler but it dosnt say anything about a 12v wire to the actuator but in the diagrame for the actuator it says you need a 12v supply and you connect this to the black wire on the actuator do you just wire it to the reverse light pin in the trailer plug as it would be the only one left?

Use a reasonably good
Use a reasonably good quality plug if doing it that way otherwise an Anderson plug.

The older you get the more you realize that no one has a f++king clue what they're doing.
Everyone's just winging it.

Under dash is the way to go
Pick up your 12v power and earth under your dash (there's a heap of options in there, find one that comes on when the ignition is switched to accessories using a multi meter) close to where you will install the unit (EBRH?) and trigger off the cold side of the brake light switch connected to the brake pedal, less wires to run, the only long run is your blue brake wire to pin five at the blunt end.

Run the hot wire straight
Run the hot wire straight from the battery and pick up brake light wire from the trailer plug is its resonable new car as many late model cars run can bus brake light switches etc.
