Worth a sticky?

Just wondering if its worth creating a sticky on "using the search function". I know i've been guilty of it, posting about topics that have been covered a fair bit (exmouth, etc).
Maybe there should be a search option up the top (next to links, shop etc), it is kinda inconspicuous.

Explain search function, then quick site navigation tips eg "checkout Forums>Reports/brag board to see what people are catching lately."
