 I bought a Haines Signature

 I bought a Haines Signature with a '98 Mercury Saltwater Series 150HP EFI.  Working like a charm.  Had 420 hours on it when I got it, and now I have done 20 more hours.  Fuel & oil consumption has been excellent for a 2 stroke.  Starts first time now that I know the technique (make sure batteries are strong, put throttle lock off, give it a bit of throttle when turning the key, let it fast idle at 1200rpm for a few minutes to warm up).

Fuel consumption on my 1800kg boat as follows;

Rpm : knots : lph : km/l

900 : 2.93 : 4.73 : 1.15
1600 : 6.05 : 11.4 : 0.98
2800 : 11.55 : 10.45 : 1.10
3700 : 24.13 : 25.76 : 1.73
4600 : 30.30 : 37.6 : 1.49
