He can retire safely in the knowledge that he's achieved more than he could have ever imagined in his wildest dreams as a kid

His Dad has been very sick up
His Dad has been very sick up here in Darwin if that's the 'get his shit together' your referring to. Absolute champion of a player, shame he fell just shy of 200 games but 4 x premierships and a Norm Smith Medal should ease the pain
still trying

Hope he is able to play footy up there for fun. I knew he was in NT for family but thats all i don't think money means much if your real home is the bush

Yep I agree mate, I hope he pulls the boots on and continues to demonstrate the art of AFL....
Tough, hard at it but fair, loyal, humble.....
I kinda felt this was coming, to be honest i thought it might have happened a couple of years ago when he kept blowing hammys but to his credit and the medicos at Hawthorn they got him back for that Grand Final win and then the very next year was one of his best...
Thanks for the memories!

Bloody champion player.
Bloody champion player. Can't imagine 11 years of footy would be easy on the body as a smallish bloke who contests the ball a lot.
