WTB - Carburettor to suit 40hp Yamaha
Submitted by mw87 on Fri, 2021-10-01 08:50
Hi guys,
I need to replace the lower carby on my 2008 4 stroke 40hp Yamaha - F40BWHT. Does anyone have one in working condition, or ideas on where I might be able to find one?
Thanks in advance.

Try mick at marine masters
Try mick at marine masters he will have one or know where to get one
getting the bottom line final answer from a bunch of blokes that use false names and put smiley faces at the end of paragraphs is not the best place in the world to get the information you seek.

Carby problem
The boat is stored on the east coast and because I can't get over there, I'm taking the word of someone I arranged to service it. They sent the below photo. Some type of reaction has taken place while it's been Covid-stored and a gum has formed. According to the guy, corrosion is to an extent that a rebuild is not an option... Very happy to hear opinions of those more qualified than I am, but taking his word at the moment.

Carby corrosion
Ah I see ! The deposits can be easily cleaned with ultrasonic bath and cleaningproducts but unfortunately the corrosion maybe your downfall !
