sorry to hear about the break

sorry to hear about the break in....little off topic but this seems to be happening nearly everyday, don't hold your breath with your insurance giving you all the $$$'s you expect. they want reciepts for everything you had...including snap swivels. but back to point +1 for the revo 11 for you.

Mate, I would reconsider the yak , personally I would go for a small Dingy. I know yaks are a popular trend but its a very slow way to get around. An electric or small motor on a dingy will get you about safer and quicker thean a yak. Either one has to be transported and cartop poly boats are available as well as tinnies. How do you intend getting your yak to the water ?  You can also standup  (a little) and sit more comfortably in a dingy. You can also take crab nets etc, can easily set up a live tank for Mulloway etc . I bought a Hobie outback  (considered to be one of the best ,with feet paddles), but found it just didnt cut it for me, and quickly sold it... maybe I should have tried it first. Too slow, low and fishing in an unnatural position, I like to stand when fishing.

Anyway, just another perspective mate, there are heaps of yak owners out there who love their toys and produce the goods with amazing regularity, so in the end you have to make your own choice for your own reasons.   Good luck

Mate I have an outback and they are much stabler than the revo, but with the stability comes a bit of slowness compared to the revo but if you buy a set of turbo fins for the outback you can sit on roughly the same cruising speed as the revo.
The revo cuts the water better than the outback and is easier to surf launch and retrieve.
One handy feature on the outback is the utility trays on the sides which are really handy for holding bait and tackle.
The best thing I could suggest to do if you haven't tried them before is ring getaway outdoors and see when their trial days are so you can decide for yourself.
Look on yakfishwest.com for more specific kayak info.
Hope this helps
