My sugestion would be to head upto kalbarri mate. So many different options and with the river there and a few protected bays u should always be able to find somewhere plesent to fish. Also from what ive hear the pelagics are going off! Im not sure if there is still a charter boat operating out of there or not tho, maybe someone else can confirm if there is or not?

It depends how much u wana spend and what ur looking for. When i go up there i usually stay at kalbarri reef villas, nice tidy unit which works out very cheap if there is 3 or 4 people, but mite be a bit expensive if ur going solo. If on a bit of a budget then just check out 1 of the caravan parks up there, bit of a google search and u should be able to find out which ones are rite on the water front. If ur after a big one then id be spending a bit of time at the river mouth with a fresh bait out in hopes of a mulloway (fresh is the key!, try catch a few local mullet or whiting in the river for bait) Good luck up there mate, let us know how u go!

Kalbarri is about to have a few problems with the rivermouth and would be offlimits to the Charter boat.

Maybe Jurien if you can get a couple of spots on Seasports or Denham?

Dude

Dude, dont limit yourself to kalbarri. Dongara has LOADS of good fishing (checkout all the fish by TWITCHEMUP) and i used to live in geraldton for 9years, any of the beaches 30mins + outside of town produce AWESOME beach fishing. Plus there are heaps of unfished territory in the surrounding area. If your gonna go on the boat off Gero, you need to know where your going as it is heavy fished, so speak to the guys at the local tackleshop to find out where they are biting. In the end though i can't garentee anything because we all know what fishing is like, one day your catching 60cm tailor and the next (in the very same spot) you dont get a touch...
