Yearly North QLD Trip

Did the yearly trek to Townsville to visit family, friends & a spot of fishing. Normally head up there in october (as it's not so windy) but thought we would tie the trip in with the V8's.

So we did the V8's on the saturday as they had Inxs playing that night as a part of the entry, not a bad day all in all.

Sunday we headed up north to a mates beach house at Lucinda via Ingham to pick the boat up. Well thats where it all turned to sh!t, one of the trim motors on the outboard was catus, so straight on the phone monday morning to see if we could get on up from Townsville, many calls later we had one that arvo & guess what the wrong one, back on the phone and we had one the next arvo from Sydney.

Well ready to go now but the wind has picked but was coming down in the arvo's. So headed out to the reefs in the morning to get a bit of cover from the wind & see if we could manage a few trout & do a bit of trolling in the arvo. Got a few nice trout & a stinking big Barracuda guestamate 25-30 kgs.

Good trip but will stick with the October run next year as we tend to get better weather

Snaggletooth

Like the big snaggletooth worm carrier, nine times out of ten you don't even get to see them after hooking up.

Good report.

Strewth that's a big cuda.

Yeah windy time of year at the moment.  Seems like it's been windier than normal this year too. not much fun to be trying for the reef.  October's usually good, then through until about February
