Yellowtail Kings

Not sure if its much interest to anyone but a good mate of mine was fishing out from hillarys today and called me up... he was trolling some soft plakkies and was cleaning up on smallish YTK's of about 60cms... he had a ball.... must be escapees id think from that fishfarm... anyways he also got some big squid and herring

I haven't been following the discussions about the YTK farm situation but I was filming in Jurien yesterday and I can certainly tell you tens of thousands of kings escaped from the bankrupt farm and they're all over the area.

Even inside the marina they're swimming in ones and twos. Worth a trip!

Lets hope people put them back to get to tear off your line size in a couple of years. Cool

In 6-8 years they could be virtually unstoppable in shallow water  Laughing
