yesterdays lazy day

headed out at about 6am with my brother and a mate to about 18nm slowish trip at 13kn with the S/Eerly blowing , to a small lump very quiet so headed out another 4 for an under size dhuie and a stingray with nothing in the esky and the wind dying down a little bit the bullet and headed out another 12 with a few drops on the way for a gurnard and that was about it dropped on the first ledge for a sargent baker with some fresh bait tried another 2 spots the wind had since swung around to the south by this time was starting to wonder why i went to these spots south rather than north with the bottom lip out :) .12:30 wind changes s/w and it's all 3 lines on for 2 under size pinkies and a 75cm pinkie motor back for another drift with my mate pulling up a double head undersize dhuie and a swallow tail 13:00 things went quiet again moved a round a bit for a few shit fish ended up glassing off , broke up the trip with a fish at 16nm on the way back with heaps of bait balls around seemed not much was on the bite and was a hard days slog with plenty of ground travelled

thanks and definitely better than a good day at work , guess i just had high expectations after 3 and a half months or more with the boat out of action with the weather , getting some welds redone and the yearly maintenance

but back up and running so with the veiw to atleast get out once a week/fortnight things can only go one way and thats up :)
