Chinaman
Submitted by Simo_ on Tue, 2009-05-19 09:14
The weather was average again on Sunday so we anchored in close in 4m. Second cast produced a 15kg 103cm Chinaman. It took me on a full tour of the boat, they fight bloody hard. After a few pics I released it.

They do pull like a Iron Ore train. A double hook up on Chinamans had me and the missus lines turn into a perfect twisted double, but we landed them. Good on the chew here in WA but careful in the east or your lips and the rest of your body will go very numb.

awesome fish
Awesome fish Simo! They do pull hard. Every one I have caught has given me a great fight. I have eaten them for the past 25 years every time I have caught one and they taste great! I only eat the small ones as in up to 80cm as they taste great ( Not for Cigutera but the big ones are tuff.) Had some on saturday actually......Beauuuutiful.
Good to see this fish made you smile.

yeah I got a 78cm one that was good eating, I thought this one would be tuff eating so I put it back. Didnt get any Chinaman on the last trip, this trip I got a PB on the first day then this fish on the last day, I think it will be a while before I beat this fish.
