Exmouth Whales

Drifting around in the gulf with the family minding our business, when rudely interupted by a couple of young whales.
What a great experience for our 3 y.o. as well as us.
Cheers Pete

Too easy
There were that many whales out there in the gulf, it was a case of stop the boat and just wait for them to come to you.
The rope was to stop the little one snorkelling off too far from the boat - we were in the water cooling off when the two young whales came over to say hello.
Downside, was that I totally forgot that my underwater camera was in the front of the boat missed out on some great underwater shots.
Upside is it will be easier to convince the boss to get an underwater video setup now

Whales
Yep, must say the whales are a daily occurance. So many of them everywhere. Don't even need to go more than 300m from the marina to find your first most days. Pretty special pics those Pete, can't say I've been game to get that close. I guess thats the difference between riding in a tinny and a trophy. :))

Memories
Just saw this in random images - had to bring it to the top again.
Can't wait to do this again - and have the video now.
Our young one still talks about the experience...as I do!
Cheers Pete
