The rod is a Synit Hellbent
The rod is a Synit Hellbent Exorcist. It's a prototype spriral wrapped(acid) made to fish PE10. It has ALPS componenents and the blank was designed and constucted in NZ. Synit has a range of Acid wrapped jig rods out now....and they are very, very cool!!!
The reel is an Ocea Jigger 5000P with the carbontex drag kit and plate......an awesome heavy jigging reel.

This Wreckfish weighed 123LB
This Wreckfish weighed 123LB and was taken on the King Bank at the 3 Kings in the Far North of New Zealand. Wreckfish are superb eating and none of this fish was wasted. Enchanter

is the name of the charter boat, and this was a 5 day trip with a mix of guys - 1 from NZ, 2 from Oz and 3 from Japan.
Make this one place you go before you die!!!
This place has everything.....the biggest striped marlin on the planet, the most and biggest Kingfish, huge bottom fish, popping for XOS Kingfish around the islands, soft baiting for big snapper. Loads of crayfish, abalone, scallops......

Spiral Wrap
Sean that is a fast spiral wrap with what looks like two guides only to wrap it. Do you find that there is line tension on the guides with this rapid wrap. (sort of has a ring to it). I have only seen acid wraps with at least 2 or 3 guides to complete the wrap.
cheers
