There you go.  I've only ever got small trevs there.  I've often thought it looks good for queenies but never been able to spin any up.  Is there a better area for it or anywhere along the beach?

Have seen people ballooning there before so figured there must be noahs around.

The interesting thing is, the first few times I fished there, I spun a few queenies and goldspot trev's - well at least I think they were goldspots, lots of them. Last time I went north up the beach a bit, about 1/4 mile past the old jetty posts and found a gutter basically right on the shore break, got some really nice size tailor out of that as I say along with the bluenose salmon and others.

Edit: the trevs were a real good size and busted me up a few times - good fun.

http://www.fish.wa.gov.au/Species/Tailor/Pages/default.aspx

Tailor live in cool tropical and warm temperate ocean waters in eight isolated populations worldwide. In Western Australia, they’re found from Exmouth to Albany. There is another population on Australia’s east coast. Tailor move in schools around reefs close to shore, while larger tailor can also be found at offshore reefs. In the daytime, schools rest in deeper waters. At dusk and dawn they start their main feeding runs close to shore.

Fished Coral Bay area heaps over many years and never seen nor heard off a tailor caught there. But it isnt that far up from Carnarvon so makes sense. I probably didnt use the correct method to target them. Seen one caught on West side Exxy but thought that was a very lost soul.

I too stand corrected in my assumption.
