caught 3 of these bonnies while chasing mackies today. Love the colours on these fish!

Bonito can be fun to catch, better on the fly rod than mackie gear lol,
Weather looks a bit shit but at least you gave it a go.

would that be within kayaking distance by any chance??? ive been plastering a big job overlooking mindarie marina all week and those outer reef breaks have been looking pretty damm good to me , any hints....

well these were all caught
well these were all caught behind 3mile reef, was quite swelly and choppy today even on a small swell
