you forgot to mention you were only in about 2 feet of water and a raging tidal current, now adam this is serious photo of the month contention here. Caught on 20pound braid as well a great fish tipped 8KG. Good one mate!
Caught this bluebne at Point Samson causeway on alive mullet fishing for a barra pulled like train on 20 pound stren braid 60 pound black magic flourocarbon leader 75 cm 8 kg. Live fibre rod calcutta te 400
G'day Skinny that's a horse of a fish mate an absolute trojan and an awesome catch considering the gear and location... did you end up going barra fishing today??
Certainly a great fish that has been breed to destroy gear, to get that on lightish tackle is a triumph....well done Skinny!
ps.... in your pic, the rods looks like the New Live Fibre Territory Barra 10kg rod, i've just bought 2 for myself ie barra fishing, driftbaiting and shallow water jigging......they're awesome!
I wasn't passing judgement on you keeping the fish, I was referring to its photo of the month contention and how I would personally like to see a photo of such a great fish taken straight from the water and full of life/colour. Taking a photo of it after its been laying in an icebox for a period of time doesn't do it its full justice IMO.

Being photo of the month it was never my intetion i was showing people what happens if u put in the time to fish unexpected things happen thats why we go fishin. fishing is what you make of it. not what u want to happen!!
I never said YOU were pumping it up as such, I was actually referring to Pilbara Brad and HIS lobbying. You might also notice that I used the smiley to indicate to Brad that I was razzing him.
It's certainly a great capture Skinny and something to be proud of.

Yep, think we are all getting a little excited over this one. Mind you its a bloody great fish.
It will be a photo of the month contender because its a sensational capture and a good photo. As for seeing it fresh out of the water and voting for it as the winner, thats why there are 5 other photo of the month contenders.
i feel much better thank you. i know john is only having a bit of fun, it is good to get the blood pumping and we are all better for it. Besides anyone who holds grudge is just way to serious for me. Keep it comming big john we all have a thick skin mate
cheers and everyone have a great chrissy. I wil hopefully be getting my white pastey brother from melbourne a barra, and a suntan, well at least a hangover!
Probably nothing that I haven't heard before boys.
Love the Pies, and now the fact that we are in a position of being hated again I reckon that's fantastic! To quote Eddie the Messiah - "its gonna be a big year in footy".

Easy on the pomsThere's a few of us on here you know!! Besides it's just a myth we like warm beer..................Room temperature maybe! and when we have been pasturised homogenised circumsised (not me) vasectomised and naturalised had half our brains removed we become aussies and like cold beer too.
To all the virgins..............Thanks for nothing!
Congratulations Skinny, a most deserved winner, probably one of the most remarkable captures I'v ever seen or heard of. I realise that it's a photo comp but who gives a crap that's awesome.

Lobbying
C'mon Brad I thought we'd finished with all the Kevin07 type lobbying.
Certainly a cracking capture but for photo of the month purposes I'd rather see it dripping wet and full of life/colour.
