Thats sick.Funny ive had them being rounded up by dolphins near margs once and even though there about to be eaten they were still smashing poppers like it was there last meal..or soon to be
...the dolphins don't actually eat the salmon. Their pointy snouts and needle-like teeth are more suited to eating smaller tucker like mulies/sardines/anchovies/squid. Apparently they belt the salmon around the guts and/or grab them and toss them through the air, attempting to force them to regurgitate their food, literally knocking the stuffing out of them. This is why we see so many injured salmon holed up around inshore reefs all along the southwest, healing up in order to continue their migration. If dolphins really consumed the fish, we wouldn't see so many injured ones...they'd be eaten! Anyway, hell of a shot!

Heard an interesting theory the other day...

Dolphins
Have seen dolphins eating salmon not just knocking them about heaps of times while pro salmon fishing.
Because of their strength and size its difficult for the dolphin to grip and subdue a salmon thats why they injure so many.
