Sea Perch - But what type??

Sea Perch - But what type??

Caught this out wide of Dampier late last year, have been told its a scarlet sea pearch and a saddletail sea perch. Any advise on exactly which one it is?

I've caught a few in Nth QLD, we commonly call them a large mouth naniguy,hence there smaller cousin the small mouth,which is a saddle tail perch, not bad chewing either.

Looks like a saddletail to me.Has a bit bigger mouth than the crimson sea perch and doesn't have the darker colouring by the front of the dorsal fin
Either way still top eating

The book to get is THE MARINE FISHES OF NORTH-WESTERN AUSTRALIA or MARINE FISHES OF TROPICAL AUSTRALIA AND SOUTH-EAST ASIA and for down south,THE MARINE FISHES OF SOUTHERN AUSTRALIA.They cover most if not all the fish we come into contact with
