Squid session

Took my eldest daughter out for a quick squid session this morning. 2 hours on the water for these bad boys.
The lure at the top did the most damage in very murky water. 6m depth inside Little Island.

I had a quick crack in the same area this morn too, gave up after one drift, had a few colours workin but no hits, not in numbers yet or just hard work in dirty water, but good size by the look, nice work, I must persist a bit more

A lot of water in between them
They came from pretty much two small weed beds about 500m apart and both maybe the size of a double garage. One from a spot I had caught on maybe a year ago, the others from a spot I must have marked 3 years ago.
Just like you Tim-o, we drifted quite a while for nothing, then despite the fact I very rarey go squidding I thought I must have a spot or two around there in the GPS. I found a couple and just had a short drift around that area and hey presto.
Not sure what it is that must hold them to those spots but to get lucky a few years apart must mean something?

Is the cloth coming away on the top one?
Does this make the squid a bit shy?

These are cheap jigs
Pretty new out of the box so any damage woul dhave been done by these squid. The top one caught 4 of them.
So yep I think the cloth is coming away a bit but it didn't seem to put them off. (If it did put them off, with a decent jig I would have caught a lot more then.
)
