might not be that good a fish
but still fun as hell to land one. tried getting one just for the fight at rotto. wasn't looking and one of the lil 3m black ones grabbed it. alomost spooled my 500m of 35 pound line and after about 45 mins i got it about 20 m away from our boat it rapped around a bouy. i wasn't very happpy

Bloody stingrays
Pain in the butt. You go to the trouble of catching a fresh bait, burley up some action, wait a few hours hoping a mulloway or a snapper will come along and grab your bait and then you get a good run - and its a bloody stingray.
Where did you catch that - I thought you were taking it easy Sherbs.

Rays
Trying to unhook a little one years ago to keep the missus happy instead of giving it a whack first and the bloody hing got me through the first joint of my thumb.
After dropping it over the side[STILL ALIVE]she has the cheek to ask "does it hurt"of course it #$%#@! hurts,with blood [mine]everywhere.Since then they all get cut off before they even get close to the boat.

Ahhh, now I remember
It least it gave you a chance to test out that new rod - it lifted that ray like it was a small herring.
