Sunday off Ocean Reef
Well, we finally had some success on Sunday off Ocean Reef. My next door neighbour, another friend and myself headed out early morning to try our luck on the 50m.
Surrounded by albatrosses, we driftanchored over certain promising spots from the Lowrance and set about making all the efforts of the past tweve months building this boat worthwhile.
Within two hours, my neighbour had landed the first respectable fish being a 52cm dhuie. He then made us enviable with several more good size fish before as you can see by my smile,
I caught a superb blackass!!
We caught a respectable baldie before the wind came up around 3.00pm when we decided it would be better if we headed in. All in all, a fantastic day. Well worth the effort.
I am sure others have caught better but there is nothing like your first and the memory will be there for a long time.
Wherever you go, there you are

well done. must have felt good to nail a few nice fish on the boat that you built up. 12 months of labour for a fresh feed. well deserved

If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.
