coming home after chasing BEAR at the onslow salt jetty .no we werent gonna hurt the big groper .ive nic named her dorris .just wanted to try and get her boat side for a pic .i bet the old girls got a fair bit of jewerly hanging of her as she certainly got some of ours already

ive landed 2 jews john .both from the salt jetty .drift a big bait about half depth .but my opinion is dont go there with anything less than 50 lb if ya want to land what ever grabs ya bait, leader length REAL long and OVER size big time .as you know once there in the pylons its curtains ... some big fish there ,,especialy when the sun is coming or going . the guys working there reckon theres a BIG BIG cobia that patrols the area .60 to 80 lb. i give them nothing its a hell tug of war .my mate went over the side this trip as Dorris the local queensland groper wanted his fish more than he did. shes a 100 plus kg and when ya see her your heart start racing
always in it just the depth that varies

Definitely sounds like skull dragging territory, winner takes all! Could be a good spot for the sambo jigging outfit.
