knot - it breaks easily under tension especially on lighter line like 50pound mono - much better using a 3-way swivel, just trying to help you out not trying to criticise cheers dave
The other thing with the twisted dropper is when you are lucky enough to come across a school of NW blowies you normally have to make an entire new rig again

ive been using that rig for years , only just gone to twisted, if tied correctly it will hold up as good as any other knot. only thing is i also use a short length of other line to the hooks in case of being bitten through and use 2 snelled hooks . that way you only need to change the hooks not the whole rig. using decent 3 way swivels can get pricey when you start loosing whole rigs to the bottom
I use it for all my patternoster rigs. Haven't lost a fish to rig failure yet and mine are 40lb soft leader material. I have found that if you cut the loop to snell a couple of hooks on the knot can fail. Use a palomar knot to attach the hooks seems to work well presenting the bait. I usually tie 10 at a session so I just unclip and use a new one if a blowie eats the hook. Also doesn't hurt to change the rig after landing a whopper.

Beeroclock - most people fail
Beeroclock - most people fail in this knot when they dont lubricate or in most if not all cases use a bit of saliva when pulling the knot together.
10 times quicker than tying to a 3 way.
