whale at hillarys

Just got back from watching them lift the whale down at hillarys...it smells so bad....when they lifted it up..a horrible smell wind blasted everyone...i have never seen 100 people dry reach at once before...was a crack up!

 It smelt that bad, when we got home we had to have a shower, and wash our clothes....as the smell went right threw us! I think the seagulls were sticking to there chips today for sure

 you imagine being stuck in traffic behind the truck, so on perthnow, poor whales tail hanging over back of tipper and a 4x4 behind it, OMG apart from the smell what about what ever flew off in the wind splat on the wind screen phewie phewie be worse than somebody letting of wind in your car with the windows up.

i remember the day well (just saw this photo in the random pics) i got the call at 6 am from the boss of joondalup city council he said "ryan ive got a problem at hillarys i need you to take care of" little did i know i'd be there till 7.oo that night co ordinating the crane lift!!!  it pissed down all day too!! it was interesting getting the 250 tonne crane down onto the beach after we demolished a sand dune with a big front end loader!  what a day.   (and for anyone interested the whale weighed 27.6 tonnes)  cheers
