My last boat was a 5.2 quinnie dory with full gunwalls which had a 60hp yam 4st tilla on it. Great practicle boat for a variety of uses from diving to fishin up to 35 kms out. It was great for crabbing and all the smaller things that you tend to do solo without the headache of a big boat!
I think that's what Brads hoping to get out of this boat Rutar. Perfect for extended stays up the creeks, can cast all the way around the boat.... yet big enough to head wide to chase sails, head out the back of Legendre for GT's... could probably take it to the monties if you tagged along with other boats.
This is a 5.2 centre cab with raised casting dec, 115hp etech, livie tank, hyd steering, floodable kill tank, custom bar work, wal through transom, ladder, duel batts, custom pedestal seats with awesome tackle storage undereath, 170lt fueal tank, rod lockers. im drooling again.... pick up 24th Feb
Yeah Brad I"m sure you have it set up for N/w fishin.I have never really done much but by the sounds you have covered all basis and it will be on the money! The power to weight will blow you away as I used to get 25knots on a glassy day with a 60 so hang on!Jay he will be wrapped for all uses and no-doubt the creeks will be getting punished!
Yeah Brad, with a 115 donk on the back, and an ali boat, that will FLY! Also, with that size tank, you'll have a very serious range! Isn't it great fun thinking about how you are gonna fit out the boat - all the little bits and pieces. I drove Mandaurah Outboards NUTS with the specs for ours - 17 pages of MS Word Tables LOL.
Don't forget the progress photos mate!
I love seeing other peoples boats coming together.
