The days Catch on West Aligator River NT

the days catch, sorry about the " kill on the bricks" type of pic, but not much chance of pics on the beach, with flat-dogs around! Barra was 70cm, one of the Threafins was over 85cm!! see the thick trunk, we had to chop the head to get it in the esky! and a nice little NT tailor to round off the day. the truncked big Threadfin and the Barra where taken by my mate Will and I took the other two Threafin and the Tailor. not bad for a day of work...;-)

dinner was served
We served up the Barra and a Threadfin last night. Our site manager helped us "clean the plates" ;-)
Tonight it will be Barra and Tailor as a back to back comparison, with the last threadfin being kept for Tuesday nights dinner,...
What can I say nothing beats fresh fish with salad! Nothinbg as good as a meal on a reel....

Barra
The Barra was taken on a sofplastic, pre-rig. We where using Storm Wildeye 3&4" Shad and Tsunami Pro Swim Baits 3&4". I'll stick up some pics tonight. We where targeting Threadfin, so it was a welcome by-catch!!! best colours where green/blue and clear/red and green/red
all fish except the ray and one threadfin for the day where hooked on either Tsunami or Storm softies, Ray & one threadfin taken on a 3inch red&white metal slice.
No hits at all on either nile masters or other hard bodies we have with.
