That's a big fish. Something to remember. Great effort - 2hours 45 mins!!! Would have been a mission getting it on board wouldn't it? Can you eat Marlin? If so what does it taste like?
I fish for the future - Cause I can't bloody catch anything!

you haven't got much to say do you??
The guy's in a tinny and it maybe his first time at it. A marlin on any any gear is still a marlin, especially from Jurien!!

Slightly off topic but I say a smaller boat is a definate advantage when it comes to fighting Billies stand up.

Depends on whether they go
Depends on whether they go deep or stay on the surface. Nice fish but they look better when they stay in the water.

Sorry honsu
but if it has a 90 on the back that is not tiller steer it isnt a tinny. Is the rumour true that your fish was so big you had to share the rod around?
So tell me have you got your info from years on the water or hours on the internet?

Between us and Rob there was 4 Marlin raised ,three strikes, 2 hook ups and one capture, not bad for a couple of hours trolling before that storm front turned things into a washing machine on steroids.

is it dangerouse getting one in the boat?
getting the bottom line final answer from a bunch of blokes that use false names and put smiley faces at the end of paragraphs is not the best place in the world to get the information you seek.

It's odd no one picked up on
It's odd no one picked up on it before as being 116kgs, not 110 or 120kgs as would've have been posted if weight was guessed. Which means they weighed it which also means they kept it. And good one em would taste good I imagine and would be a good convo started when chatting with a bunch of other fishos.
I'm only disappointed that the smart groups of anglers who call them selves fw members didn't pick up on this weight thing before ;)

That's huge...
How did you get it on board?
Gaff/Tail wrap/ask it nicely to climb aboard...
... I guess it would be pretty placid after 2 3/4 hours.
