my marine lionfish is sick and i took it 2 a specialist nd he sed its anchor worm can anyone tell me what i can do to treat it?

copper will usually fix most worms .... it will also kill all the critters in your live rock and sand so you will need a quarantine tank ..... try serching the net for a cure as most of the USA sites are pretty good

Copper can be used as it kills inverterbrates before it will kill the fish, but unless you know what you are doing I wouldn't recommend it, if you dose too much you will kill the fish.
There are special medications (pottasium permanganate) for parasites which includes anchor worms and would be safer to use as it has specific guidlines (how much to use).
Freshwater dips will have no effect, so are not worth trying.

yeah if you took it to a aquarium shop they could have identified the disease and treated it, but continued treatment is required until all generations in the tank are killed.
