Recfishwest Membership Poll
I just thought I would get an indication of where our members see themselves with regards to joining recfishwest. I have noted a few comments recently about the topic and also note a fair few members have their membership proudly emblazoned in their tag lines.
I myself am a Recfishwest member, so I thought we could get an idea of how many of us are actually joined up.
Its totally anonymous, so only comment if you wish to express an opinion otherwise just vote the way you are thinking.
Cheers

Just pipped ya Mav, 0274. I appreciate the work Terry Fuller does in keeping the recreational anglers up to date with impending changes and potential changes and discussion papers.

Recfishwest membership poll
Thanks Andy. Anyone who want more details can PM or email me via Fishwrecked.
Recfishwest works so that:-
• fishing for you and your kids and your grand kids will still be there and be better in 10, 20, 30 years' time;
• recreational anglers get a fair share of the fish, crabs, crays, etc;
• access to the fish and fishing spots is not taken away without REALLY good reasons;
• fishing and environmental actions are sustainable;
• the rules are based on sustainability and the real risks to fish and the environment, not based on blind ideology.
There's lots of info on the RFW website about what RFW does for recreational fishermen in WA, for example http://www.recfishwest.org.au/ArticleHotbiteSeptember2007.htm#WhatsRFWDoing
Latest is the submission on Managing the Catch of Demersal Scalefish http://www.recfishwest.org.au/SubDemersalFishingFMP225.htm which is one of the most important changes for boat fishermen ever.
RFW members get regular weekly emails with a summary and links to several important or interesting internet articles about fishing. Those alone are worth the membership because they help keep you informed.
Earlier editions of "Casting Around the Internet with Recfishwest" delayed by about 4 weeks are on the Recfishwest website at http://www.recfishwest.org.au/CastingAround.htm
There are lots of posts in the Fishwrecked "Political and Environmental Issues" Forum http://fishwrecked.com/forum/28 and similar special forums on other WA fishing sites.
You can join RFW for just $20 or $10 for over 65/under 18, $40 for a family of 4 - by post, by phone 9246 3366, fax 9246 5955, by email , in person, or fill in a website form see http://www.recfishwest.org.au/MembershipDet.htm

Tell us what you think and ask us to explain anything you don't agree with - you may give new details which will change Recfishwest's decision.
You are the ones who benefit when Recfishwest succeeds, or you will lose out when Recfishwest is ignored.
