I saw a guy suspiciously checking out cray pots with a snorkle on along north mole ocean side facing north if they are your pots probably want to move them. This was friday night

 Has anyone on here done it? I find it hard to keep my herring alive all the time with an aerator in a bucket(other than stopping and doing water changes) so I want some form of pump to get it continuously flowing . Any diy ideas/photos etc if any help please mention or pm . Cheers

 Sorry, I'm knew to the crayfish catching - actually my pots never went out this season, but wouldn't mind still using them.

So everyone is talking about the white crayfish run is finished.

Is it still possible to catch crays out from Perth over the next few months? Do they just go out deeper or stop feeding?

Is it therefore still worthwhile putting pots out over Jan/Feb march and roughly where should I be thinking about putting them?

I had a bit of old Jarrah lying around, so I decided to have a go at putting together a homemade cray pot. What do you guys think?

It's full sized with double bait baskets, jarrah bottom and I added 10kgs of ballast. The whole thing probably weighs about 35kg.

I finished one on Saturday and went and chucked it in at Ocean Reef on Sunday morning. I have never seen so many cray pots out there before. There was thousands of them out the back of 3 mile reef. I had trouble finding a spot that wasn't already covered in them. I hope there's still some crays left out there.

I've got the second one finished now too, so I'll put that in tomorrow morning.

I know it's coming to the end of the white run, but I'm hoping to get a couple of crays before christmas. Next year I'll be ready at the start of the season.

Hi All, Chasing some info regarding the current 'run' of crays in the Midwest. I'm towing my boat down from Karratha to Gerro next week and was wondering if the crays are still a happening thing, or do I leave my pots at home? Any info will be greatly appreciated as it will make the 1100km tow a little more worth while!

I'm Heading to Rotto for a week in soon and i'm looking to catch some Yellow Tail Kings and anything bigger (eg. snapper, rays, sharks). I plan to get up early ride to some of the beachs in the west end. 

What Bait and location is best for these things?

 hi guys, any good reviews on this? i am targeting makies, tuna(up to 30kg), mullys and other fish that size, is a 600 good for that? the 8000 is way to big for me. is 13kg drag enough?

 Have a few crays in the freezer for Christmas.  What is the best way to defrost them to ensure the best quality? Also how long does it normally take to defrost them?

 Tried Pt Grey and Coodanup yesterday for nothing but undersizers yesterday but hit the honey hole today. Got 9 in 3 runs with 3 nets and then another 4 runs to get the final one. Only had to put the gauge on two of em. Sorry cant resize the pic on my phone.

 First pull after a five day soak out in 23m of GI happy days couple nice jumbos today two others went back fully berried up and another three when the back just on the gauge .. Bloody stoked .. 

 Some video I took on friday in 33m off bunbury.It was taken with a gopro attatched to my goggles which explains why it is random and jerky.I was doing most of the catching as the other bloke had a knee replacement 3 weeks and 3 days before so he was taking it easy.

Hi all, just got back from a great Quobba trip and want to send out a big thanks to Big John who made us some lead head jigs. They were fantastic, cast well and came through the water brilliantly leaving the best bubble trail I've seen from all the jigs I've used. If you are heading up there during the sharkie run I suggest you get onto him to make you some. I will get him to make some soft plastic heads as we had a ball on Cobia with them.

Went out the other day with my daughter and we decided to clean some of the beach. Here's 300m of the west side of Garden Island beach. Whilst we collected over 10 sets of floats that used to belong to pots, there was at least another 2 or 3 stuck in the rocks high and dry. How many pinched pots have had there ropes cut by propellers ?.

 just had a new boat built and looking for an alternative to carpet for the floor, seen this product diamond deck, has anyone on here used it and if so what's your opinion, alternatively can anyone recommend another product.
