Snapper in sound?

 Hi guys

looking at taking the kids out in the sound on the weekend anyone know if the snapper

are in yet? Best place to take them ?

Anyone need a crewie for wednesday

 I can.travel, bring bait,pay my way etc

Sounder help

Hi all.
I have a mate who has a Haines signature 500C that we normally use for shallow fishing inside the 3 mile.
There are days when the weather is good that we would like to go out to to 30s, 40s etc but his electronics totally dont hack it
He is now talking about upgrading his sounder and transducer but space is very limited. Current sounder is a lowrance 332. This is in the centre of 2 round gauges on either side of the lowrance 332 which give fuel, RPM, trim etc
His engine is is Yamaha F80 4 stroke and I was wondering if an engine interface could be installed to take the place of the 2 round gauges.
Any suggestions as to a new sounder that we could squeeze into the limited space and a decent transducer and possible suggestions as how to get round the limited panel space would be much appreciated
Cheers

How many kids get to fish with spider man

I personally know him. He wanted a feed of squid. Job done

WA Fisheries have been busy in the Courts:

In the courts

Breaching the 10kg finfish limit cost a Melville man more than $4600 in the Shark Bay magistrate’s court recently when he was found to have 19.6kgs of finfish fillets at his campsite.

The abuse and obstruction of fisheries officers at Lighthouse Bay near the Ningaloo Marine Park in April led to a Great Southern man receiving fines and costs of nearly $3000.

Illegal mud crab fishing cost a 47 year old man almost $4000 in fines, penalties and costs in the Derby Court after his boat was found with undersized crabs and 10 more than the personal daily bag limit.

Illegal sales of rock lobster, as well as using excess pots and interfering with other people’s fishing gear, has cost a Cooloongup man more than $30 000 in fines and costs, as well as having to forfeit his boat and gear.

Inshore snapper on the chew

Mate Glen and I headed out to a spot behind Garden Island and then FFB.  Glen managed a PB of around 90cm with no less than seven keepers landed in a morning session (four kept).

Sold the Boat

Well , after 2 to 3 years of hardly getting a chance for a fish, sky rocketing costs the green turd brigade shutting us out etc , ive pulled the pin. Was a great boat did many miles and caught plenty of fish. Not gone altogether tho , im going back to how i started out 30 yrs ago. I picked up a 4.8 hornet s/console , so will be after river and estuary species and the odd close in pinkie . im going to need a new set of glasses to tie this mico braid stuff tho lol. Tight lines crew.

Silver sands / Mandurah

 Hey all,

New to the area and went for a toodle from silver sands up to secret harbour on one of these beautiful winter easterly days and noticed on the Garmin that everything from about 100 MTRS out to the beach is marked game reserve?? Can anyone enlighten me more on what the go is with that? Also seems pretty quiet boat wise here, is their any good weed banks local for squiddies and Geordies or should I head elsewhere??not looking for spots just a general idea of what is worth chasing, also thought I'd try a night mulloway trip sitting out back of the "game reserve" in the troughs behind the surf maybe?

Ruby snapper

I've never fished for them so have zero experience.  I'm off to Vanuatu later this year where these are known as poulet.

I'm interested in any feedback from others who may have fished for these especially those have used jigs successfully or unsuccessfully vs bait.

Karratha Locals??

 Hey fishos

Im reaching out to see if there are any Karratha folk that might be willing to take myself and a work collegue out mud crabbing or fishing. I am up there for work from the 27th June to he 30th and have a spare day on Wednesday 29th June. I use to live in Hedland so know my way around there pretty well, but I have only been to Karratha a couple of times and really do not know where to go at all to get a crab or 2.

PM me or comment or anything, willing to pay or buy you a slab of beer or whatever you want!!

Cheers

Shark fishing ban...

I have mixed emotions on this one but any ban on fishing is of a concern remembering the Greens are going to hold some power federally from now on...... https://www.perthnow.com.au/local-news/south/city-of-fremantle-officially-bans-shark-fishing-in-local-waters-c-7234046

Tantabiddi boat ramp etiquette

 Hi all,

Last year was a bit confused with the order of retreival at Tantabiddi. Normally here NOR it is as the boats line up coming in but up there it seemed to be as the cars lined up to retrieve thus you could drop off someone on the ramp then go out a bit and wait.

Never seen it at any other ramp. Happy to do whatever just want to go with the flow
