10-11knt Westerly
Submitted by Darren253 on Wed, 2016-09-28 16:11
As the weekend weather is looking sh*thouse once again, hoping to have an evening session behind GI tomorrow night after work. What are people thoughts on 11knot westerly but with only a 1m swell?
I've previously always avoided westerlys after a rough experience in a 4.5m tinny but I'm now running a 6m Stessl.
I'm yet to get a metro snapper to the plate and the clock is ticking...

Haha legend, I've thought about this before but I work within the vicinity of a train station and we've had a lot of break ins. Do you just lock all your gear up inside the car or take your rods inside?

I working in an industrial
I'm working in an industrial unit in Welshpool so we have a private carpark that is gated/fenced off outside of business hours.
Rods and gear is in the car because I loaded them last night, trailer is locked onto the car via hitch lock and padlocks through the chains. It's also within eyeshot for the majority of the day.

So the ocean between GI & Carnac was like a boat show on water last night... But the filleting table was pretty quiet!
Did anyone have any luck? Only Wrase found there way into my boat...

Hillarys
Fished inside the reef off Marmion. A few underside snapper straight up got me excited but the bigger ones didn't turn up. Managed a nice KG whiting and a Gummy shark. First gummy landed. Lucky I processed it while I was out there as it was full of pups. They swam off nicely.
I did then the best that I knew how. When I knew better, I did better.
