1CDN 010 - towing boat last night from North on the Indian Ocean Drive

Was that any of you?
Well the boat trailer had no lights at all and it was pitch dark. I tried to flash my lights as well as raise you on the UHF (ch 40).
And then after overtaking you, and being overtaken by a BMW going at warp speed, I narrowly missed the 2 roos crossing the road. It could have turned really ugly if the had jumped in front of the BMW, as then it would have caused a 4 car pile up.
If that was any of you, I just wanted to come here to explain why I braked suddenly in front of you, and to remind everyone to check your trailer lights and turn on your UHF when travelling.

Good on you for trying to let
Good on you for trying to let him know but IMO when you decided to brake suddenly infront of someone towing at probably close to 100km/h you became more of a danger than he was...
Not trying to start a shit fight but you probably could have left it at the couple of light flashes and 2 way call attempt

Ahhhh, I see, I didn't read it like that... But now that you point that out it does make sense, in which case I would have braked for the boomers too!!

Bit Tricky .. when you have a car and boat close behind you and roos jump across the road in front of you .. do you slam the anchors on or do you go thru the roos ? .. commonsense would be to keep some distance , but that doesn't seem to happen . Couldn't you have beeped your horn on the way past and told him his lights weren't working .

Yeah, it's hard to explain
Yeah, it's hard to explain the whole situation by typing. I was hoping to upload a video from my windscreen cam. There was enough gap behind me and I just braked a short burst to miss the roos. Then to tap my brake lights to warn him of the roos.
