Just the photos for now, Cardinal might supply some words later. Sorry there's not more photos, I was too busy fishing to worry about photos too much.

Thanks guys, not a bad feed at all.

Sab86, sorry mate I won't tell anyone outright where it is. If you do some exploring to the north you will find it eventually.

Jiggs, yes that's a snook, never tried them myself but Scott likes them & I know a few others that reckon they are good eating.

We don't go out of our way to hide our location but it would be good if those that recognise it can keep it quiet because we don't advertise it either. The less people fish there the better, I hate finding rubbish & crap all over the place from people less considerate than ourselves, as we did on this trip.

I guess Cardinal has other things to do so I'll fill in a few details. 4 of us made the trip this time round all with high hopes of mulloway or big greenbacks. We got up there about 4pm & quickly set about getting lines in. First cast & Cardinal had the bigger of his two flatties before anyone else even had a line in. A good start that had the rest of us rigging up just that little bit quicker. We all got a line in & sat back for what was expected to be a short wait. That turned out to be a bit ambitous as the only fish landed in the next hour was Cardinal's second flattie while the rest of us kept picking weed off our lines & recasting to what we hoped would be clear water. About 6pm the skippy showed up with Scott getting nailed several times the moment his line hit the water, he even picked up a double header of skippy which had us all thinking it was a good fish before we actually saw it. Things stayed quiet for the rest of us though with not so much as a touch. About half hour befroe sunset Ollie finally managed to nail a nice skippy. Once he had that fish he just couldn't be bothered anymore & gave it away, a call I'm sure he regrets now. We kept waiting but the tailor we have come to expect at this spot right before sundown simply didn't show up & the dissapointment was starting to wear us down, especially me seeing I still hadn't had any interest in my offerings. Finally about an hour after sundown I got a hit.... & hookup. I could hear something splashing around out there & was losing a bit of line to short runs so I was getting excited by the prospect of the nights first tailor. I wasn't dissapointed when a fat 50cm tailor came up into our lights. 3 more tailor later (30, 32 & 40cm) I was a happy little camper. Scott nailed one or two tailor & the others all went empty handed. A small ray followed for Scott & we started thinking tactics to keep our bait away from the rays as we didn't want to hook any of the monsters we've gotten there before. Turned out we didn't need to worry about rays though as it was the only one landed for the night. A few snook & herring showed up later in the night to keep our interest but things generally things settled down. Just as I was about to turn in for the night line started dissapearing off my lightly set drag. I counted to 10 & struck hoping this would be my first beach mulloway. It turned out it was but only a little tacker that we estimated to be (50cm). Sorry I didn't take the time to measure it because I wanted to get it back into the water asap. I was still pretty happy though & it topped the trip off for me quiet nicely. I woke up to find a beautiful day & the others fishing but no fish to be had. We gave it a couple of hours throwing poppers & baits around but to no avail. A few quick photos at the entry to our spot & we were on our way back. All up not a bad little trip but hopefully it will fire up a bit better for us next time.
