Landbased Spots
Blackie Boy,
I was in Albany for a week in December and there quite a few good spots for catching a range of species landbased.
We found that the King River produced more Black Bream than the Kalgan River, however the Kalgan River had more Flounder, small Mulloway and a fair few Blowies.
Emu Point was my favourite spot as it was just around the corner from where we were staying. We caught King George Whitting, Squid, Australian Salmon and small Pink Snapper.
Frenchman Bay Road (next to Whale World) there are King George Whitting, Herring, Cobbler and Sting Rays. I sent out a live Herring and only ended up with a bite mark on it however no hook up.
The Salmon Holes (Not the right weather for Salmon) we did catch a huge Flathead and thats about it. This area for some reason had huge March Flies that sting when they bite.
Theres a few other spots I wished we tried were Two Peoples Bay, good for King George Whitting and the Sandpatch.
