All Boats

 Hi Fishos,

i hear this morning that All Boats in Kingsley have closed their doors.

Not good to hear of a business like that shutting down.

They had a big selection of gear to cover boating, fishing, camping and caravaning.

I hope they can sort things out and maybe re-open the doors again.

Tackle HQ is moving into Buckingham Drive.  Tyrone seems to be setting up a nice new shop full of the stuff they do so well.

 Must be the reason why

Must be the reason why Tackle HQ have just moved? Damn shame, purchased a tinny and outboard there 10 years ago and service was tops.

Pretty sure there's an Aldi going on that site. All boats lease was up and Aldi prepared to pay more.

Aldi

Wed, 2020-03-04 14:12

Aldi has just opened in Kingsway Shopping Centre?  Not sure it would build a new shop 5 minutes down the road.

The gossip I heard, and it is just gossip, is that the site is owned by a BMW dealership and it wishes to move there.  I guess time will tell, and hopefully All Boats opens somewhere else.

That was from a mate of mine

Wed, 2020-03-04 16:08

That was from a mate of mine who has a pretty good network of business people. Maybe Aldi decided the wait was too long.

 Hadn't they just changed

Wed, 2020-03-04 14:12

 Hadn't they just changed management?
Chamge of management off the back of losing Whitley agency suggests all had not been well for a while.

That sucks. Driving down wanneroo rd will never be the same. My young bloke looks foward to seeing all the boats on our way home. Are they relocating? Was there the other day looking at a few surtees and they had bulk stock in there.

Locked out as of last night

Wed, 2020-03-04 16:56

I was trying to do a deal on a boat there yesterday arvo and the guys there were all in limbo waiting on a decision so thought it best to hang onto my money for the moment

Apparently theres 3 partners involved so very political and administrators are involved

so if anyone on here knows who the owner of the Haines Signature 543sf that they have on consignment I'd be very happy to speak with them - even pay a spotters fee

Wed, 2020-03-04 16:58

Story goes two ex partners of the place wlked away from it months ago hence new management but they didnt sign off on any agreements for the other to take over completely and without their signatures the lease finished up and they called in the administrators. Guessing if they couldnt be a part of it they didnt want to see it succeed without them! sad times

They always say caravans are the spiral of death for a boat dealer.

LOL. They tried to charge me

Thu, 2020-03-05 07:30

LOL. They tried to charge me $1350 for a new trim motor so I went down to West Coast Suzuki and got one fitted for $650. All Boats actually then went and complained to the WA Suzuki rep that West Coast were stealing customers from NoR.

$980 for a service there compared to $550 at West Coast.

 Difference being west coast

Thu, 2020-03-05 11:10

Difference being west coast suzuki would do oil and an oil filter and call it a full annual service haha

Theres a reason all big dealerships and premium mobile techs charge $700+ for a 4-6cyl four stroke service. parts alone cost $350-450 if you were to buy them yourself all genuine.

Dont let yourself believe youre getting the full service for that price mate

 They have upset every other

Thu, 2020-03-05 13:36

They have upset every other suzi dealer in wa at some point. Undercut local dealers on supply only price and then leave the local dealers to pick up the mess done by poor installation. Violation of suzuki dealer policy but got away with it just in sheer sales volume.

Thu, 2020-03-05 09:56

I called them just prior to xmas to book a service and raise my mercury 40hp in December. $450 to do both. The receptionist told me she would call me to confirm a date in January.

Never got a call....

 I bought a Whittley from

Thu, 2020-03-05 11:19

I bought a Whittley from them years ago and they were great to deal with. I can confirm the site is owned by Automotive Holdings Group so probably right on the car yard call. Bought it in 2016.
