Anchor rope

G'day all, just a thought i had today while giving the boat a bit of tender loving care, when was the last time you took ALL of your anchor rope out of the locker and checked it?? I did mine and was surprised at how many leaves, bits of seaweed and general dust/dirt and bugs was in there. The drain hole was fairly clogged so the whole rope locker got a tidy up and the rope checked as it went back in.Have fun.

Steve, was on my "To Do
Steve, was on my "To Do List", since purchasing my boat 3 - 4 mths ago, I went & replaced the entire anchor rope, & haven't looked @ it since, last weekend whilst fishing around GI, I had my deckie throw the anchor over only to notice we weren't holding bottom, pulled it up, no anchor, the D-Shackle came loose & fell off, mmmm, this time I'm twitching wire in it to hold it in place!

Strangely enough I did mine 2 days ago for the first time in ages. Went through the storage hold and removed some of the loose museli bars I'd left in there for a hungry day. :) Hadn't done it for months before this though, good to make sure everything is in order.
