Andrew Symonds becomes the lure of the Top End

A fishing lure has been produced in Darwin in honour of controversial Australian cricketer Andrew Symonds.
Symonds is such a keen fisherman that he chose a day out on the water over attending a team meeting before the one-day series against Bangladesh in Darwin recently.
It is believed Symonds had some success, catching a 75-centimetre barramundi in Darwin Harbour.
But it may have cost him his international career, which is in now limbo after he was dumped from the national side for playing hookey.
In his honour, a Darwin fishing charter company has produced a new barramundi lure called 'The Roy'.
It is green and gold, with a black tip to represent Symonds' dreadlocks and a slash of white in reference to his trademark zinc cream.
At the moment it is a one-off, but the charter company says if it is successful, it might go into production.
