Own worst enemy
People are there own worst enemies. Had one guy break his leg at tantabiddi today on a scooter, had to ring 000 and get him fixed. Then had a jetski guy in the shallows come off and get lucky not to hurt himself. Hope everything turns out ok in this case.

Not looking good
Unfortunately according to the news.com.au website the body of a deceased 23 yr old male (wearing a lifejacket) has been recovered. The search is still continuing for three other missing people.

long night!
Yeh i was on my step bro's cray boat doing the search....very tired now. The Police were using the boats knowledge for navigating around reef and in close and we had plenty of height to see through crappy ruff/lack of vis waters.
We started about 7pm and we finished at 1.30am. We found most of the boats debry and kept it for police on arrival back at the ramp where we were asked questions. The body was found just up from our grid search, was sad to hear but kept positive.
I said to my step bro after the body was found that i reckon the boy & dad would make it to shore (gut feel) and whilst we were looking further north and out i said the 4th person will be on the beach around this spot i reckon (X) The police asked us to stay on our grid, when the call came through much later....yep he was found in that area (gut feel again)
3 from 4....good outcome but sad to loose one!
There was rope wrapped around the prop so at a guess i'd say they were fishing around reef and came snagged around an old cray rope or possible their's as they pulled anchor and then overturned with a wave....just guessing!

Looks like the boat name was "Gettin out there" in case anyone recognises it.
