whiting will be more common

whiting will be more common as flatties are generally a by-catch for them.  Unless you head out deeper there seems to be more spots with lots of flathead.  anchor and burley and you can get some decent fish.

filthy. the locals seem to think that you've gota go wide to get anything decent...i'm from newcastle nsw where the legal limit for pink snapper is 28cm and if ya get 1 32 or better you're a hero. sad really without bagging my state too much ha ha

Hi Peteman, I was born in Newcastle, but left there a long time ago to live in Sydney before coming to WA. Good luck with your fishing and your search for a boat. Colin Hay
