tailor in the swan.
have fished the swan for tailor quite abit mate if you are land based then most jettys like mosmans claremont and jojos jetty all fish well around sunset for tailor claremont is probarly the best but it gets really busy.
via boat oportunitys are endless.
sunset either anchor up near the channel at the narrows and cast little stickabits or metal slices at the bridge walls that are lit up good tailor there sometimes
daytime trollling i would try around point walter sand spit where it drops off near the channel marker.
also landed some big buggers under the causeway in the real warm weather.
good luck mate !!

Will be giving a try next
Will be giving a try next week, I have a Quintrex Seabreeze and will launch at Maylands, and run down river, only takes around 25mins, and don't have to battle traffic, thanks for the heads up, do you use lures or ganged mulies?

good info Travis P
your onto it mate , youll find them on the bait anywhere between the narrows and mosman this time of year , when its blowing southerly they often herd the bait up aslong the wall on the north side of the Narrows near the brewery , thats exacltly what i'll be doing in the river tomorrow along with some breaming on the flats near canning bridge.

will do Trav
we will be in the river all day doing some "high speed" runs in the crusher to see what the top end is , tailor trolling/casting and "bream trolling" sound strange but last year we were trolling the flats in my 8m ali with 250 yammie and scoring some ripper bream ! they dont seem to be too put off by big outboards we found lol! and enjoying a few black cans!

yeah still warming up
yeah we tested our boat out a while ago in the river but it was choppy as shit we managed a top speed of 43 knots thats with a 2 tonne boat and 150hp merc brem trolling never heard of that before we used to troll for flathead but never caught any bream doing so good luck with it anyway.
not 100 percent if we will end up going but if we do no doubt well see ya out there!

Went yesterday
heaps of 20-26cm choppers on Burswood flats , plenty of 25-38cm ones along the channel west of the narrows where the jet ski bollards are and along the north wall.

The birds are your best
The birds are your best friend. Find the birds and find the tailor and also keep your eye out for jumping baitfish.
