Demersal jig hooks
Submitted by Alan James on Fri, 2017-10-27 14:31
With some time to spare I'm looking to make up some assist rigs to use with demersal jigs. Ebay and Ali Express have hooks branded Proberos (some black and others stainless steel). They look OK but I thought I would ask if anyone has any experience with these. Any other recommendations welcome.

Proberos brand ok, I'm using
Proberos brand ok, I'm using their J hooks and so far no problems. Biggest fish 10kg mulla. Only broke a few trying to open eyes to gang. Need to take care when doing this but when you can get them in bulk for about $8 per 100 a few breakages is ok. Another chinese brand which is ok is BKK. Suggest you get smallest lot and stress them to breaking. If satisfied then buy more.

Dunno about the hooks Jamsey
Dunno about the hooks Jamsey but if you're making a few this is a brilliant tool to neatly cut and synge your assist cord www.elitetackle.com.au/bouz-line-cutter-ii/
Officially off the Pies bandwagon
