has anyone done this? 20 plus meters of the water? we all know how much the pinkies etc like them, thinking decent size jig heads to get some casting distance.

Also as groper down below
Also as groper down below says... Snags are going to be the biggest problem. I have bottom bashed alot there and go through so many rigs its not funny

I use 1.5 to 2 oz jig heads
I use 1.5 to 2 oz jig heads and Mcarthy paddle tails all the time of Quobba and they work on bottom fish as well as tuna/macks/cobia.
If I think its 20m deep then I'll cast then free spool and count to 20, then work the jig back to the cliffs. If it doesn't touch the bottom then the next cast i'll count to 25 and so on untill Ive worked out the sink rate vs the depth.
Less snags than bottom bashing and a nice break from spinning metals and minnows.

theyre very effective if you
theyre very effective if you rig them weedless style then you wont get snagged a lot try not to let it hit the bottom too much though 1.5 - 2ounce ounce seems to be a reasonable weight providing you are using braid
